Case Study: Just Salad

When Just Salad came to Command C for a full redesign, their site needed some updating and cohesion. Based on an old-school computer game feel, it was cute and kitschy, but distractingly busy in concentrated areas, leaving a lot of dead visual space. Our first major revision was to make the site responsive, so it would translate well to mobile browsers and focus on the essentials for those users: menus, orders, locations. Greenpointers

client: greenpointers.com project: Create new brand and website for local Greenpoint community blog. strategy: Design a fun, vibrant, social-sharing loaded site leveraging the WordPress plugin community. solution: Social media-ized, easy-to-update site with custom build calendar plugin with monthly, weekly and daily views. We also built a custom directory system and made lots of ad space to leverage potential revenue for client.

remindo

client: remindo project: Design the interface for the logged-in state of this office intranet app. strategy: Consolidate information architecture, aiming for as few page transitions as possible. Leverage modal and collapsable windows to keep interface clean, but all actions easily accessible. Utilize a neutral color scheme that echoed the product’s brand, but allowed for each organization to customize their interface to match their company. solution: Clean, hierarchical architecture with all core functionality on one screen.

client: relativity project: We were brought on by SMKK Studios to help re-imagine the interface design and information architecture for this successful e-discovery software website. strategy: The goal was to offer a guided-path experience to high priority content areas, while reaffirming the company’s brand and delivering content in a clear, navigable manner. solution: With the collaborative effort of two studios, we were able to leverage our skills and create a site that’s greater than the sum of its parts. client: fly.com project: We were hired by Fly.com to re-imagine the standard flight search site and process. strategy: Come up with three different versions of the interface: one that is similar to the existing site with some small improvements, one middle ground version and one completely re-imagined departure. solution: Above are the three different ideas we came up with. Each version is intended to have a graduated page-load, whereby content would appear on the page in order of importance.
